Classes
Awesome place for all your yoga needs. 11 studios – it’s huge!! Make sure you get to class 20-30 mins early to get in as all classes first come first serve. Wonderful to see this business doing so well. Affordable classes, every teacher I practised with were clearly very accomplished and expert in their field. Best place for dedicated yogis and yoga teachers.
The classes, special events and teachers are amazing. Such a connected experience and appreciate all that the staff and people attending yoga barn do to make it a physically and emotionally safe and inclusive environment. This is not the place to go to if you’re looking to rush through a yoga class on a tight schedule, give time before and after to arrive and depart.
My experience at the yoga barn has been excellent so far. I keep going to the classes of Paul Teodo, Byron de Marsé, and Leah.
I love their energy and vibe that they sow into their classes. I think they are grounded, wise and solid teachers. They keep me coming back knowing how friendly and supportive they are!
I bought a 30 day unlimited pass for the Yoga Barn and absolutely loved it. A really special place where you can follow your intuition and try out classes on everything from yoga, breathwork, meditation, leadership, sound healing and more. Some of the teachers are nothing short of gifted, and it had a real sense of being a hub for thought leaders in the field. Many of them our word class and you would pay a lot more for them outside of this environment. When I first walked in and saw crazy good looking folk doing headstands, I did worry it would be pretentious but tbh when I started speaking to people everyone was so authentic, kind and open. People from all over the world sharing bits of their story. And the staff are lovely and so helpful.
I love this place, there is such a variety of different classes to take! I highly recommend taking a class with Bex Tyrer if you can, her vinyasa classes are my favourite. I also joined one of Bex’s YTT courses, Women Rewilding and cannot recommend her teaching highly enough.
If you can attend an ecstatic dance, I also recommend doing so!
Yoga Barn is a gem that I can’t recommend enough. 3 of my favorite classes: Ecstatic dance, Kirtan, and Himalayan Yoga with Candice. Candice is incredibly talented and I loved having that weekly container to process what was coming up.
Amazing for yoga classes, you can’t pre-book online (I don’t think…) registration opens for popular classes 30 mins before on site, arrive between 30-15 mins before the class starts to ensure you get a spot! you can buy single classes or class passes on arrival. There’s also free water refills on site to ditch the plastic. Café and juice bar on site too. Its not that easy to find, ask people and keep walking straight down the path, down the stairs and you will find the main reception at the back. You can’t park down this way though if you are arriving by scooter, the parking is around the back. If you are trying to get in to the Sunday dance arrive at 8am to join the queue, any later you will struggle to get a spot, once you have your spot you can go off and have breakfast etc. then come back for the start – same timings apply for ecstatic dance on the Friday.
Retreats
I’ve only been once for a yoga class during my Bali trip, as I wanted to experience the famous yoga retreat that a lot of people are talking about.
The whole location is beautiful, and nestled in the nature, however just like other reviews are mentioning, the class was packed, super full. So the teacher can’t really focus properly on the students.
I would suggest you arrive early if you want to secure a spot.
Also the staff seems to be on autopilot, most probably because the place is so busy all the time.
It was nice for my Bali experience, but i wouldn’t choose this place to go for my regular yoga classes, it lacks personalization.
I went to the essential nature yoga class with Tanya and it was beautiful! I wish I went on a Tuesday or Thursday for the talk. The yoga barn is a magical place and I wish they had accommodations for the time I spent in Ubud. I’d love to take a retreat or a yoga teaching training there!
This place will transform your mind ,body and soul. The beautiful atmosphere, ambience make it an ideal place for relaxation. The classes offered are exceptional for an epic retreat!
I travelled to Ubud for 10 days to disconnect, practice yoga and meditate. The best decision I’ve made was to start this journey with Yoga Barn’s 3-day transformation retreat with Jana Johnson. Jana is a kind, generous human being with a golden heart. She listened to me and guided me through this experience, sharing her knowledge on energy work and any other topic I was interested in exploring, and recommending spectacular experiences and yoga classes to broaden my horizons during and after the retreat.
One of the highlights of my trip to Bali last month was Qi Gong classes in the yoga barn I cannot stress enough on how transformative the iexperience was.
I have struggled with finding a spiritual practice that helps me to feel grounded something that ADHD makes very hard to attain.
During my ten days stay I had three Qi Gong classes with the amazing Jordi Jules.
from the first class I felt rooted and felt the Qi in my hands throughout the day. I can not emphasize enough on how Jordi made the class easy and powerful for everyone new and I will always remember what he said “my teacher said you can not do Qi Gong wrong you can do it good , better or best”
I urge Yoga barn to make a Qi Gong teacher retreat with Jordi I will definitely come back to learn more.
I attended the Yoga Barn for Paul and Leah’s MTT training and it was simply INCREDIBLE. Not only were they knowledgeable in their craft but the retreat was superbly organized, the guest speakers were of a very high caliber, the food was delicious, and the programming was beyond my expectations.
I will definitely return to the yoga barn ESPECIALLY for Paul and Leah’s retreats!
Teacher Trainings
I took the Elements of Power Yoga teacher training with Paul and Byron in December 2023. Even though I’ve been practicing yoga for 20+ years, previously, I had been too intimidated to take a yoga teacher training to enhance my personal practice.
Paul and Byron are world class teachers who each teach very challenging practices, but they both have a gift for making the challenge approachable. Not only do I recommend trying both of their classes, but if you have the opportunity, sign up for a training with them.
After the YTT, I feel stronger than I have felt in half a decade which is a huge win, because I had some health challenges that had me at my weakest, so to be on the other side of that is massive.
I genuinely appreciate the generosity and integrity with which Paul and Byron teach. It’s very clear that they both care and are invested in good outcomes for their students. The training was so phenomenally worthwhile, and making new friendships with fellow students are (vegan) gravy.
I’m so charmed by this place. The vibe is so nice from the cafe to the yoga studio.
I just took the most fantastic class with Laurence. He covered so much from the fascia and the nervous system to IFS and craniosacral. Then he led a beautiful somatic breathwork journey into our bodies.
I’ve come across all of these modalities before to great personal benefit. To experience them connected so clearly and intuitively feels so nourishing.
I had one of the biggest transformation of my life taking a YTT with Byron, Paul, Michael, Alyssa, Vijeth and Leah. It is called Power Yoga, but it is beyond just a physical body. On this training i discovered my strength which is actually my heart based consciousness, my soft side. Paul and Byron really stretches you and not just mindlessly training but really appreciate you and encourage you to explore your strength and darkness and i admire Paul and Byron to take such a degree of depth and empathy for their students. Truly hearing and understanding each students like a person that matters from the heart. And i am always in tears when i remember these teachers as they sent you into your enlightenment. Which i luckily call family, such good people and really taking care of all of us. It is the best investment you could ever done for yourself. If you want to discover your superpower, grow and make this shift in your life. An interplay between your right and left brain the power and the soft side. That makes up you as a whole being. I have no words but just a pure gratitude and admiration for such transformative experience.
The Yoga barn is such an incredible experience no matter what you are looking for. The wide variety of treatments, workshops, classes, dishes and drinks means you can tailor your experience to fit you.
Personally I need to go slow at the moment, so I have been to beginners yoga, sound healing, yin yoga and had a wonderful cranio session. Later we will go to Meditation with Punnu and will join some workshops too. My husband has chooses different classes and we meet for lunch. The restaurant serves a delicious menu of nourishing, restorative food and it is easy just to spend the day there enjoying juices and watching the world go by.
I love that you could come and have an invigorating active time or a very slow time. The timetable is varied and interesting s
I love yoga barn! For the first timer especially coming to Ubud I recommend starting here for a good one stop shop for a fast reset. I personally enjoyed the Saturday self guided flow yoga session. The hydrotherapy colon cleanse is a best kept secret for after a long flight! 😉 All of the therapists, beakers and instructors there are no roomy to their field of experience so you can book with confidence. Worth every penny you invest in yourself there for sure and for the socialite there’s plenty of community events to choose from as well
I love this place, there is such a variety of different classes to take! I highly recommend taking a class with Bex Tyrer if you can, her vinyasa classes are my favourite. I also joined one of Bex’s YTT courses, Women Rewilding and cannot recommend her teaching highly enough.

Workshops & Events
amazing cluster of likeminded and growth-oriented people from all over the world coming together. classes, workshops and food is all amazing!
I booked this conscious cooking class while I was still at home. It’s like I had a feeling when I saw the ads that it’s going to be fun.
I didn’t expected it would be more than just fun. Nina is person full of warm and sunny energy. What she gave me and 3 other wonderful women on that workshop is not only recipes of especially delicious dishes, but also guidance on how to cook and enjoy the process. How to eat and enjoy the process. How to cook and enjoy the process.
We ended the workshop with a beautiful lunch. Some women were crying while eating , because we managed to build a strong connection between us . And of course because the food was blissfully yummy!
Join the class. You will enjoy it!
Huge space, full of greenery, with tons of classes everyday. Tried fly high yoga and a drumming circle workshop along with other yoga classes.
For threw first time the other night Rob and Sophie blessed us with an immersion of kundalini yoga and dance combination.
In all of my years of coming to ubud for events, workshops and dances I’ve never seen a combination of two such powerful enjoyable practices.
The mixture of the two modalities and marrying if the masculine and feminine influences was truly magical.
My friends and I had a joyful buzz afterwards and couldn’t stop taking about it as we lounged comfortably at Kismet restaurant.
We all truly hope that we get to see more from this powerful couple 🙂
I spent a few days alone in Ubud with the wish to practice a lot of yoga.
I went to THE place to go, Yoga Barn where I took 2/3 yoga classes a day during 1 week.
This is an awesome yoga studio with a planning full of diverse classes. You can practice yoga all day long with different teachers, all with their specificity! I enjoyed all yoga classes I did, teachers are very inspiring. I also participated to community workshops & events: I recommend!
This place is very inspiring, and what I really appreciated was the yoga community aspect. You feel part of the tribe and you meet great people. So good!
I wanted to stay at the Yoga Barn home stay, unfortunately there were no more bed in dorms available.
Also, you must stop at the Garden Kafe, food is awesome!
The Yoga Barn is by far the best Yoga Center I’ve ever visited. Easily accessible location, yet so peaceful and serene; high-quality professional teachers; delicious cafe and a heart-warming feeling of community make the Yoga Barn a magical microcosm of Ubud itself. Add to this friendly professional staff, beautiful facilities and a wide range of classes, workshops, therapies, events, retreats and trainings – def worth a visit (or ten!!)
The Yoga Barn perfectly embodies the ideal of Yoga by uniting all these aspects which support and inspire this practice.
Wellness & Spa
A beautiful property, that makes you feel happy to be there. A lot of classes, dance and spa options to choose from & has something for everyone. Try find Nia at the reception, she is wonderful and will guide you through everything and make you feel welcomed.
This place felt like a second home while I stayed in Ubud. They offer a great variety of classes with very kind and well trained teachers, I have tried multiple yoga styles, pilates, PiYo and meditation classes and I enjoyed them all. The cafe has a great selection of food and drinks, as a vegan I found it really easy to eat healthy and versatile here, everything was delicious. I’ve tried the Kush Spa as well, both massages were really pleasant and the staff was really friendly. There are so many lounge beds and benches around the complex for just reading, chilling between classes so it’s easy to spend the whole day at Yoga Barn.
Spent 5 days here with their rejuvenate package that includes accommodation, daily breakfast, unlimited classes and 2 massages. This place is beyond amazing. I felt refreshed and recharged by the beautiful nature, welcoming staff and amazing classes. Tried a variety of classes (sound meditation, vinyasa, hatha, yin & more) and really enjoyed all of them.
Attention all yogis! If you’re looking for a respite from your hectic life, look no further…head to the Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali. Set amidst a serene lush setting, it’s the ideal health and wellness centre. So many yoga practices: beginners, hatha, vinyasa, flow, gentle, power, yin, kundalini, pranayama, restorative, etc. Other offerings include Qi Gong, meditation, breath work, myofascial release, etc.
Teachers are compassionate, accommodating, passionate, accessible and encouraging. 👏👏👏
You can also pamper yourself at KUSH Spa where you can enjoy a variety of treatments: whole body therapies, upper body therapies, as well as clinical therapies.
A Garden Kafe serves fresh, wholesome meals in a serene, natural setting.
On-site accommodation is available…so convenient…includes a delicious breakfast.
The Yoga Barn staff is so gracious, friendly and eager to please…consummate service with a smile! 👏👏👏
Just DO IT! GO! You owe it to yourself! Namaste!🙏
My husband and I did the 3 day detox with Andrea which included yoga classes, a privet session with Andrea, a colon hydrotherapy session, spa treatments and drinks from Kafe. I have to say it was all excellent, all the people who worked there are very nice and friendly, we did extra spa treatments because the experience was heavenly, Andrea is such a nice and professional instructor, she helped us so much with the whole process and sent us daily emails to check on us, I’ve learned a lot from this experience and highly recommend the place for anyone who’s interested in yoga and wellness.
The Yoga Barn is hands down (pun intended) the best yoga studio in Ubud. Amazing teachers, great staff, wonderful location, wide selection of classes and super events, both regular and special.
And there is a spa, wellness centre, restaurant and all sorts of other amenities that no other yoga studio offers.
Simply the best !!
Nourish
Amazing place to find every type of yoga class imaginable! Whether you like yin, power vinyasa, aerial, sound baths, or meditation, yoga barn has it all. It’s like a small yoga village with 3 different cafes and juice bars to order nourishing food from. The smoothies and juices are all great. I haven’t been disappointed by anything
Stay
A true sanctuary in the heart of Ubud. Have been here every single day while in Ubud. Some of the best yoga and mindfulness instructors I ever met (I met a few). Hearty portions of organic food – a real gem. Staff is incredible, the garden, the energy. If you are there, try a yoga session with Emily Kuser (hard to describe with words) and an ecstatic dance or five. I will always return here while in Bali. Great wifi (even for the video calls). Thank you Guys, terima kasi.
Fantastic two week stay at Yogabarn, taking part in many different classes.
I stayed in the on site accommodation which was perfect to get to/from classes quickly and enabled me to wander and just be.
As a solo traveller I never felt out of place and had the option to join in with others if I wished.
I participated in wellness treatments offered by the centre and felt this was highly beneficial.
Staff were all very helpful and kind.
Overall a beautiful experience.
Two months ago I finally signed up for the basic DNA Theta Healing class at Yoga Barn, and this was when I discovered that it‘s gonna start during my stay in Ubud (truly a divine timing). This was the first time I signed up for something totally new, thanks to Suki for making it happened😇.
The main focus on this basic DNA course is on removing limiting beliefs that has been subconsciously engrained ever since we were born. By using your intuition and guided visualization to identify and release blocks from the mind, body and emotions.
For those who want to dive deeper into energy healing, I highly recommend Suki’s Basic DNA course! This three-days course gave me not only profound life-changing experience but more importantly you may see the result instantly! Overall, it was an amazing and magical experience that will connect you with the Source✨ Thank you, Suki🙏🏻

Yoga Barn - 90 minute hot stone massage after 23 hours in the air - 90 minute hot stone massage!
My husband and I arrived in Ubud at 2pm yesterday. It was hours of travel coming from Austin, Texas (3 5... read more hr flight to LAX, 17.5 hrs to Singapore and 3 hrs to DPS). My back was completely out!
Between lifting 22 kg bags x 2 (my husband broke his back at age 21 in the US Air Force), a probably genetic condition with a lower disk and most especially the 17 hour 25 minute leg of our flight - I couldn't move my back at all.
I had shooting pains all through my lower back.
Going to Yoga Barn this morning for the 90 minute hot stone massage I thought it would be peaceful and I'd sleep - NOPE!
I was in so much pain I had a hard time turning over on the chair. I tried my best to lie flat but I had to lift my legs to relieve pressure from my lower back.
I endured - the pain was unbearable at times from my back that stressed the rest of my body. I finally had to start twisting a little.
My therapist worked with me!
So - I call this a therapeutic massage. About 2 hours later I didn't have the pain I'd had for over 48 hours (travel time 29 hours, and then last night's sleep). It worked. I realized I loved the hot stones! I'll try it again in a week.
I'm also sitting straighter.
My husband 💯 loved his - no pain.
It was also different - sure I'm used to rolling onto my back. They do a full stomach massage. I was so so about it. Also coming off of a long flight- I'll be honest, pipes area a bit backed up. It was uncomfortable - both because I've never had that area massaged and because I was blocked. However, I had a fantastic poop when I got back to our resort. It's embarrassing to talk about it but traveling always causes me constipation because I won't use a public toilet to poop.
Also, I'm not used to someone moving my underwear. It was fine but unexpected. I wore my bikini bottom only of course and was shocked when she pulled it down. I was grateful because that's where a lot of thespian WAS, but different for me.
I highly recommend Yoga Barn and Indra - I know I was hard to work with bc I kept moving around. I didn't realize how bad my pain was until I had to stay in position.
