Yoga for Living With Loss
w/ Sheena
Monday, February 23rd
2:00pm - 3:30pm

Grief is something every human encounters in many forms: the loss of a loved one, identity shifts, transitions, aging, illness, endings, and change. Yet few spaces offer real, adaptable, practical, compassionate tools for meeting grief in the body without trying to fix, bypass, or rush it. This workshop is designed to meet participants exactly where they are, honoring grief as part of living fully.

Yoga for Living With Loss blends gentle yoga, breathwork, guided reflection, and nervous-system regulation practices rooted in the chakra system. The emphasis is not on “healing grief,” but on learning how to be with it_, s_killfully, kindly, and with embodied support. Participants leave with simple, accessible tools they can return to long after the workshop ends.

Proposed 90-Minute Workshop Flow

  • Opening intention & grounding (creating emotional safety)

  • Grief as a universal life experience (brief teaching + reflection)

  • Exploring Chakra-based practices to explore where grief lives in the body and how to manage it.

  • Gentle yoga movements, various breath techniques, and meditative stillness to support regulation and presence

  • Closing integration and optional sharing

This offering is appropriate for all levels and does not require prior yoga experience. It is trauma-aware, non-dogmatic, and deeply aligned with Yoga Barn’s commitment to conscious living, community, and holistic well-being.
