The Hangab Method
w/ Hubert Mu
Saturday, November 09th
8:00am - 3:00pm

Hanging upside down is an ancient yoga practice. In fact, many civilizations around the world have used passive inversion because of its powerful body-mind benefits.

In this workshop, we will partner in pairs to exchange bodywork using the Hangab Method. Hangab is a unique approach that combines the wisdom of ancient inversion practices with modern therapeutic techniques. Working in pairs, we will gently guide each other into a slow, staged ascent, ultimately reaching a passive shoulder stand. This gradual process allows the body to adjust naturally, preventing uncomfortable pressure in the head.

One of the key benefits of the Hangab Method is its emphasis on slow, mindful transitions. As we move through each stage, the body has the time and space to release tension, which promotes a deeper state of relaxation. The extended period of traction helps to elongate the spine, decompress the vertebrae, relieve joints and muscles, and to increase circulation. The body is given the opportunity to regenerate and restore balance.

Beyond the physical benefits, this practice also supports emotional and mental release. Being upside down encourages a shift in perspective, both literally and figuratively. As we surrender to the process, we invite a sense of inner stillness and clarity. The Hangab Method not only enhances physical health but also promotes a deeper connection to our inner selves, fostering peace and harmony.

Participants can anticipate being completely inverted for up to one hour.

About the teacher
Hubert Mu

Hubert Mu is a seasoned bodyworker, mindfulness practitioner and musician with over 20 years of experience. At a young age, injuries from extreme sports sparked Hubert´s interest in complementary medicine. This curiosity led him to travel the world, living among shamans and immersing himself in ancient cultures.

Hubert founded a yoga studio and started exploring various bodywork and mindfulness practices. He specialized in Hangab-inversion bodywork, a powerful therapy that combines passive inversion with hands-on spinal traction, guiding clients into deep inner stillness and releasing blockages.

Today, Hubert also shares practices for inner freedom by facilitating singing circles and sharing his passion for Ho’oponopono, a Hawaiian practice focused on forgiveness and healing.
