Join Holloway for an uplifting and heart-opening evening of Kirtan, a shared musical experience of mantra, melody, rhythm and collective voice.

Rooted in the devotional traditions of yoga, Kirtan is a form of call-and-response singing in which simple mantras and melodies are offered by the musician and echoed by the group. The repetition allows the thinking mind to soften, creating space for presence, connection and a deeper experience of the heart.

Guided by Holloway’s soulful voice and immersive musical style, the gathering will gradually unfold through gentle chants, rich harmonies and energising rhythms. At times the experience may feel meditative and spacious; at others, joyful, expressive and deeply alive. Participants are invited to sing, listen, move, close their eyes or simply receive the music, there is no right or wrong way to take part.

No singing ability, musical experience or previous knowledge of Kirtan, Sanskrit or yoga is required. The mantras and melodies will be shared in an accessible way, allowing everyone to join at their own pace. Whether you are completely new to Kirtan or already have a devotional practice, this offering is an invitation to step out of the everyday and into a shared space of music, presence and belonging.

Participants may leave feeling lighter, more grounded, emotionally open and connected to themselves, to one another and to something greater than the individual voice.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. You may also wish to bring anything that supports you in sitting comfortably, although venue props may be available. Come as you are, with an open mind and a willingness to participate in whatever way feels authentic to you.
