Founder of FlyHighYoga®️ | E-RYT500 (Yoga Alliance USA)
A passionate innovator and lifelong student of movement, José Luis Jiménez is the founder of FlyHighYoga®️ and the creator of the therapeutic FlyHighYoga®️ Belt—a modern evolution inspired by the ancient Yoga Kurunta (puppet in Sanskrit) the work with ropes from the Iyengar tradition.
Originally from Spain, José’s yoga journey began with Iyengar Yoga and Tai Chi, eventually leading him to India, where he deepened his practice under the guidance of master teachers like Usha Devi and Sharat Arora, and immersed himself in Ashram life at Bihar Yoga Bharati. During his five transformative years in India, he opened his own yoga studio and lived the yogic path in its most authentic form.
When he came to Bali Jose started his modern approach to Yoga with Daniel Aaron, his Mentor in the Vinyasa style, Philip Urso (Live Love Teach), Edward Clark (tripsichoreyoga), Simon Borg Olivier (Yoga Synergy) and Scott Davis. Jose was so inspired of this modern approach of yoga so he immediately fell in love with the different Vinyasa yoga styles. He saw that yoga can be fun and asanas can be done with more energetic and flowing way. This amazing experience make him a truly unique Vinyasa yoga teacher.
Today, José’s teaching blends his deep respect for traditional alignment and biomechanics with a playful, modern approach to movement. His FlyHighYoga®️ classes are a dynamic, heart-opening experience—combining spinal decompression, strength building, and mind-body healing—all infused with his signature sense of humor and uplifting energy.
As a highly respected teacher of yoga teachers, José integrates elements of Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Hatha, Yin, Meditation, and Pranayama into his FlyHighYoga®️ trainings, creating a unique fusion that is both therapeutic and empowering.
At the Yoga Barn in Bali José share his inspiring approach to alignment, mindful movement, and the joyful freedom of flying. Get ready for a gravity-defying experience that strengthens your body, uplifts your spirit, and redefines your relationship with yoga.
