🌹 The Yoga Barn will blossom and celebrate International Women’s Day with the music of the Sufi mystics on Saturday, March 08th, as Ilahi Sufi Qawwali ensemble brings their enchanting evening of candle-lit, rose-infused Qawwali poetry and ecstatically devotional music to our Ubud community.

🌹 This is a rare opportunity to experience the exquisite beauty and devotional power of Sufi music and poetry in an intimate setting, performed by the world’s first all-women’s Qawwali ensemble.

🌹 Founded by Tahir Qawwal and Alexandra Amïe, Ilahi Sufi Qawwali has been inspiring audiences around the world with their captivating music, reaching millions and winning the hearts of the lineage-holders of the tradition.

🌹 This is a sacred journey into an ancient devotional music tradition, with each composition having emerged during states of divine revelation and been passed down for generations over the past 1000 years.

🌹 The Rose Temple is a place of ecstatic reverence for the Infinite and for the Feminine, where the ecstatic rhythms and melodic tapestries carry you on a transcendental journey into the heart of divine love.

From his earliest years, Tahir Qawwal embarked on a profound journey into the realms of mysticism and music, setting the stage for a life devoted to artistic and spiritual exploration. At the young age of fifteen, Tahir left the comforts of home to live in the Himalayas, adopting the ascetic life of a dervish. Immersed in yogic practices and a ceaseless quest for enlightenment, he sought the divine through the sanctity of sound and pitch.

As the founder of the Qawwali conservation non-profit, Tabaruq Arts, Tahir produced an eight-episode award-winning documentary series titled “Qawwali – Music of the Mystics,” contributing significantly to the preservation and dissemination of this vital art form.

Tahir Qawwal is not merely a musician; he is a luminary in the realms of music and mysticism, seamlessly weaving the two to create a tapestry of sound that transcends time and borders. Through his artistic and spiritual endeavours, Tahir Qawwal continues to be an ambassador for the rich, complex, and profound world of Qawwali music, capturing the hearts and souls of listeners worldwide.

What should I do if the event is canceled?

If this event is canceled by The Yoga Barn prior to the start time, you are eligible for a refund of your ticket. We do not cover reimbursement of any associated booking fees that exceed our published ticket price. Please be aware that refunds may take up to 30 days.

I bought my tickets but I can’t attend the event. What should I do?

If you are unable to attend this event, you are eligible for a full refund of the ticket price if you contact us at least 24 hours in advance of the published start time. Contact must be made via email to [email protected] or in person at The Yoga Barn reception desk. We are not able to process refunds for any reason if you contact us less than 24 hours prior to the published start time. We do not cover reimbursement of any associated booking fees that exceed our published ticket price.
