SOMAYOGA 200
200HR In-Person
Yoga & Somatics Teacher Training
SomaYoga 200 is a foundational training that redefines how yoga is understood, practiced, and embodied.
At the heart of this training is the development of somatic awareness, the capacity to perceive, interpret, and respond to the body from within.
Rather than organizing movement through external form, participants are guided to refine their internal sensing: feeling the nuances of pressure, tension, elasticity, and fluidity as primary sources of information. This shift establishes a different relationship to practice, one based on listening, adaptability, and intelligent response.
Fascia is introduced as a central system within this process. More than connective tissue, it is understood as a continuous, responsive network that organizes the body as a whole. It distributes force, supports elasticity, and enables communication across structures, influencing how movement is coordinated and how the body adapts over time.
Through direct experience, participants begin to recognize fascia as a key mediator between structure and function, shaping mobility, resilience, and the quality of embodied presence. Rooted in a soma-first and fascia-led approach, this program moves beyond standardized frameworks to explore the body as a living, sensing, and self-organizing system.
Through the integration of traditional yogic practices, contemporary somatic understanding, and fascia intelligence, SomaYoga 200 creates a distinct methodology, where movement is no longer approached as the execution of ideal shapes, but as an exploration of relationships within the body, between stability and mobility, effort and ease, structure and fluidity. This approach allows the body to reorganize from within, supporting more sustainable, efficient, and responsive patterns of movement.
Carlos is a Surfer yogi devoted yoga teacher, originally from Venezuela. He has been immersed in the journey of self-exploration over the last 20 years, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Dharma Mittra Yoga, Anusara, Yin and Embodied Flow. As an E-RYT 500 instructor, he offers ongoing classes, workshops, immersions, retreats and teacher trainings. He is the kind of a yoga teacher who artfully curates every moment of the mind-body-spirit journey, leaving just enough space for silence.
His fascination with the healing arts, connective tissues, working with the fascia and the cellular intelligence of the body inspired his quest to create a space where yogis can find their own meaningful connection to life force, while opening up the energetic lines of the body and uncovering spaces through conscious breath and movement.
Carlos is known to take you for a journey into the sensations of your inner universe, dropping deeper into stillness and awareness, where you can experience your own uninterrupted rhythm and frequency.
